Where can I report a necessary repair?

All damages and defects must be reported to JUWO immediately using the repair report form.
For self-inflicted damage to the rental object, the tenants must cover the repair costs themselves. A private liability insurance is obligatory. This covers damages that you cause to others: Personal injury or property damage, as well as financial or rental damage.

Who can I contact if I lose my keys?

A lost key must be reported to JUWO immediately.

  • DURING OFFICE HOURS
    Fill out the form “key order” and send it to JUWO. The person in charge will then inform you about the further procedure.

  • OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS
    Contact an emergency key service if you are locked out (follow the tips below when selecting one). Fill out the form “key order” and send it to JUWO. The person in charge will inform you as soon as possible about the further procedure.

TIPS TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM DUBIOUS COMPANIES

  • Choose local companies that have direct contact persons on their homepage (ideally with photos). In the best case, a company is already familiar to you.
  • Clarify on the phone whether you can pay with a debit card or by invoice: If the company only asks for cash, it is often a dubious company. Also ask for an estimate, if it seems much too expensive, choose another company. If possible, compare two companies.
  • ALWAYS ask for a receipt and write down the name of the professional. Check the receipt: travel time, time for repair, weekend fee. Only pay for services that have actually been performed.

How do I proceed in case of defects in the apartment or in the room?

Is there internet in JUWO apartments?

No, JUWO does not provide internet. The tenants themselves are responsible for the installation, as well as all costs related to the internet.

My walls need paint – can I paint them myself?

Painting the apartment always requires an approval by your JUWO contact person. Woodwork, doors, radiators, etc. must not be painted under any circumstances. Generally, painting the walls in white color is allowed. If you paint your wall in color, it must be painted back to its original state when you move out.

Is it normal that there are no lights installed in JUWO apartments?

Yes, in Switzerland apartments are usually rented without lights. You are responsible for purchasing and installing them yourself. Our factsheet will help you to connect the lights correctly. When you move out, you have to remove them again.

How do I measure the level of my oil tank?

This is very easy, you will find the instructions on our factsheet. Contact your JUWO contact person in time before the tank is empty. This way, an interruption of the heating system can be prevented.
